DESCRIPTION
Cooperative, single-stage, selected competition, for the design of buildings planned in the R6 unit of Cascina Merlata Integrated Development Plan/Piano Integrato d’Intervento.
The project includes the construction of a residential complex predominantly for the housing market, totalling 19,943 sqm of floor area, within the land plot with a surface of 9,508 sqm, located in the south-western sector of the Integrated Development Plan (IDP), next to the public garden and to the access to the IDP’s secondary road network, the so-called Boulevard, characterised by ground-floor urban functions such as neighbourhood stores.

DESCRIPTION

Limited (professional consortia with at least one member younger than 35), cooperative, two-stages competition for the architectural design of a residential complex for the housing market, R2 and R3 operational units of the Cascina Merlata Integrated Development Plan/Piano Integrato d’Intervento. The project includes the construction of two residential complexes for the housing market, totalling 30,972 sqm of floor area, within two land plots, with a total surface of 15,914 sqm, located on the Eastern side of the public garden planned in the Cascina Merlata Integrated Development Plan/Piano Integrato d’Intervento.
In the first stage, special attention is given to the implementation of urban planning and urban design of the whole Eastern side of the Integrated Development Plan (IDP). In the second stage, the selected projects were asked to enhance the architectural aspects.

After further evaluation of the projects, EuroMilano appointed the group represented by Recchi engineering for the Operational and Final Integrated Design of the project.

Cooperative, selected competition for the architectural design of the new school complex planned in the Cascina Merlata Integrated Development Plan/Piano Integrato d’Intervento
The project includes the construction of a school facility for about 800 students, within a plot with a total surface of 13,760 sqm, consisting of a kindergarten, a primary school, a lower secondary school, besides 2 gyms, a canteen, and outdoor sport infrastructures.

DESCRIPTION

Anonymous, single-stage preliminary architectural design competition, limited to professionals younger than 35.

The competition was launched in collaboration with Confcooperative and Legacoop.

The competition refers to the R4 land plot, located in the southern sector of the Cascina Merlata Integrated Development Plan/Piano Integrato d’Intervento, along via Gallaratese.

The plot has a total surface of 10,633 sqm within which the construction of a social housing complex totalling 19,523 sqm of floor area is planned.

The two highest ranked projects were appointed by EuroMilano with the architectural design of two buildings of Expo Village, developed in the context of Cascina Merlata Integrated Development Plan/Piano Integrato d’Intervento, along via Gallaratese.

DESCRIPTION

Cooperative, single-stage, selected competition to define a Master Plan for the development of Cascina Merlata urban area, measuring about 500,000 sqm, located in the north-western sector of the city of Milan, delimited by Gallarate street, Daimler street, A4 motorway and Jona street. The Master Plan must outline the infrastructural and morphological layout of the urban area and provide orientations in regard with the design of greenery and public spaces. The project must provide for 316,000 sqm of floor area through a mixed land use, comprising residential complexes for the housing market, social housing, rental housing, retail land use, hotels and office space, besides public services.
